Text Messaging Terms
These terms cover the text messages sent by Hodous Construction Inc. ("Hodous Construction", "we", "us"), a residential remodeling contractor in Cleveland, Ohio (www.hodousconstruction.com). We send them from our company application, Hodous Tools, at hodous.ai.
What the program is
Hodous Construction Project Texts are messages we send to our own clients and to the subcontractors working on our jobs, about their project: schedule and crew arrival updates, change orders and documents that are ready, job-site coordination, and replies to your questions. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
How you sign up
We text you only after you tell us it is OK. Before the first text, one of our staff asks you, in person or by phone, using this wording:
"Hodous Construction would like to text you about your project: schedule and crew arrival updates, change orders, documents, and answers to your questions. How often we text depends on your project. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop the texts, or HELP for help. Our texting terms are at hodous.ai/sms-terms and our privacy policy is at hodous.ai/privacy. Agreeing to texts is not required to work with us. Is it OK for us to text you at this number?"
If you say yes, we tell you: "Thank you. You're signed up, and you'll get a text from us confirming it." We record your consent with the date and your mobile number, and the first text you receive confirms that you are signed up. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of hiring us or working with us.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies with the activity on your project. Most people receive a few messages a week while their project is active, and none when it is not.
Cost
We do not charge for these texts. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
How to stop, and how to get help
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. You will get one last message confirming it, and no more after that. Reply START to sign up again.
- Reply HELP to any message for help.

Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your phone's coverage, so please do not rely on a text for anything urgent. Call us instead.
Your privacy
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. How we handle your mobile number and messages is described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
If we change these terms, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
